Where's the water?

Yesterday we spent most of the day walking through Bietigheim. The have the old part of the town right in the middle of the city. They have a lot of cool statues like this horse one.

They really seemed to enjoy making sculptures of naked people too, but I chose not to take any pictures of those ones :P

It was really hot yesterday, over 30 degrees C. Hopefully its a little cooler today. I've found that its very hard to find bottled water to drink here. They don't really drink plain water here. They drink this other stuff that I can't pronounce thats kind of like carbonated mineral water. Its regular water is called "shtil vasser", which means "still water". We've got some bottles to fill up with water this time though.

We're taking the train into Stuttgart today. Should be pretty sweet!

Yep, I remember that! Lots of carbonated water. I got used to it but you can't drink as much of that which makes it hard on a hot day. Are you also finding that all beverages are served at room temperature?

Cool pic! Sounds like you're doing lots of fun stuff already!

Nice pic! Is Leanne enjoying herself? I'm glad you didn't take any pictures of the naked sculptures!

Hope you get used to the "vasser" soon.

Yeah they do serve everything at room temperature... except beer lol

Yeah Leanne is having lots of fun :) Looking forward to the Deutschland vs. Italia game tonight. Stuttgart was crazy today. Football fans yelling German stuff all over the place.

It must be really exciting to be there right now with all the soccer stuff going on.

Can't you ask for ice for your drinks there?

I rushed home from work today to catch the soccer game, and it was soooo close. What a disappointment in the end with a goal by Italy so late. Germany had a good chance if it went to penalty kicks, as they are the masters at that apparently. oh well, not to be. Hope Germany is not it mourning. Maybe lots of that Cold Beer will be the answer. :-)
Nice picture ... keep them coming, son.
